I'm a hairdresser, I work at Captiva Salon Paul Mitchell. A co-worker and myself are starting a photography studio. Our studio is focused on helping other professional and cosmetology students build portfolios of their work.
My journey started at North Haven Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School, there I started doing photoshoots and being a part of their honors program.
Any advice I could give students or other professionals who are interested is - to just do it. Grab a friend, do their hair and makeup and start taking pictures. As you practice you see what works and what doesn't, then when you understand it all, help others with it!
